OUR RESEARCH

FOR PARENTS

OUR TEAM

IN THE NEWS

The Children and Media Project includes several research studies under the direction of Dr. Tiffany Pempek in the Child Development Lab at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Our work focuses on media use by infants and toddlers. We study both the effects of media use on early cognitive development and the cognitive skills necessary for young children to understand and learn from media. Our current projects focus largely on new technologies such as tablet computers.

BACKGROUND TV STUDY

We are currently recruiting families with children between the ages of 12 and 24 months to visit our lab at Hollins.
